When Achiru was born Nandi had not been well for some time and she did not have milk to feed her so Achiru was abandoned. Achiru was handed over to UWEC (Uganda Wildlife Education Centre Entebbe) on the 10th January 2021. Unfortunately Achiru passed away at UWEC on the 17th January 2021. The cause of death is unkown.
